Discover Miami. Make Friends. Have an Adventure.

There’s no better place for a summer adventure than Miami! At Bobby’s Miami Adventure Youth Camp, kids ages 8–16 get outside, stay active, make new friends, and experience South Florida in a whole new way. Backed by decades of experience in outdoor recreation and adventure, our expertly trained staff creates an exciting and welcoming environment where every camper can explore, learn, and have fun—regardless of experience level.

No two days at camp are quite the same. Campers may bike, kayak, swim, hike, play sports and team games, create arts and crafts, and take part in outdoor education and activities that bring Miami’s history, culture, wildlife, and natural environment to life.

And Miami becomes our classroom. Campers can discover colorful Art Deco architecture, experience the traditions and stories of Little Havana, explore beautiful beaches and mangrove ecosystems, and learn about the fascinating plants and wildlife found throughout South Florida. Along the way, they’ll discover why Miami is known as the Gateway to the Americas and gain a deeper appreciation for the diverse people, neighborhoods, history, and environment that make the Magic City unlike anywhere else.

At the heart of every adventure are our four core values: Travel, Community, Health, and Service. Through shared experiences and plenty of fun, campers build confidence, create unforgettable memories, and form new friendships.

Because bringing people together through adventure is what we do best.

Age Groups and Activities

Mangrove Explorers (Ages 8-12)
Ocean Navigators (Ages 13-16)

Give your 8–12-year-old a summer week filled with adventure, exploration, and new friendships! Campers experience Miami from the outdoors—biking along scenic waterfront paths, kayaking the waters of Biscayne Bay, swimming, exploring local parks and beaches, and taking part in team sports, games, and other exciting activities.

But the adventure goes beyond staying active. Along the way, campers discover the stories, cultures, wildlife, and natural surroundings that make the Magic City such an incredible place to explore. Each experience gives kids an opportunity to try something new, build confidence, work together, and develop a greater connection to the community around them.

Led by our passionate and experienced staff, Bobby’s Miami Adventure Youth Camp creates a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where health, community, learning, and fun come together. It’s a week designed to get kids outside, keep them moving, and send them home with great stories, new friends, and summer memories they’ll never forget.

Adventure awaits in the heart of Chicagoland, where health, community, and fun are at the forefront. Whether you’re kayaking, swimming, or engaging in sports and games at Olive Park, Bobby’s Bike Hike promises a safe, inclusive, and unforgettable summer camp adventure!

Ocean Navigators is built for teens ages 13–16 who are ready to take their summer adventures to the next level. With Miami as their playground, campers get outside, explore new places, take on new challenges, and build the confidence and independence that come from experiencing adventure together.

Throughout the week, teens will kayak Biscayne Bay, bike along Miami’s beaches and through its vibrant neighborhoods, compete in team challenges, and explore the history, cultures, wildlife, and natural beauty of South Florida. Every adventure offers a chance to try something different, work as a team, develop leadership skills, and create stronger connections with fellow campers.

Led by our experienced and enthusiastic outdoor staff, Ocean Navigators encourages teens to be curious, challenge themselves, and embrace our values of Travel, Community, Health, and Service. Along the way, they’ll develop resilience, independence, and lasting friendships—all while having an incredible time.

It’s more than a week at summer camp. It’s an opportunity to explore farther, grow stronger, and discover just how much adventure Miami has to offer.

Not quite ready to hit the trails? We can help get your camper rolling!

While most Bobby’s Miami Adventure Youth Camp sessions are designed for kids who are already comfortable riding a bike, select early-summer sessions offer additional instruction for campers who are learning to ride for the first time or simply need a little practice to rebuild their confidence.

Our experienced instructors create a positive, encouraging environment where kids can learn at their own pace, develop important bike-safety skills, and gain the confidence they need to enjoy their summer adventures on two wheels.

Available Sessions: May 31 – July 2

Choose the Right Option

  • Learn to Ride: Designed for beginners starting from scratch. We’ll work on balance, pedaling, steering, stopping, and the fundamental skills needed to become a confident rider. Bikes and helmets are provided.
  • Bike Refresher: Perfect for campers who already know the basics but need some extra practice and encouragement before joining longer camp rides.
  • Safety & Skills: Campers learn proper helmet use, bike handling, safe riding techniques, and important trail-safety rules.
  • Games & Challenges: Fun drills, obstacles, and activities make learning feel like part of the adventure.
  • Small-Group Instruction: Smaller groups allow our instructors to provide additional attention while helping each camper progress at their own pace.

And learning to ride is only part of the week! Campers still get to experience the fun of our regular camp program, including kayaking, swimming, games, Miami exploration, local history, and plenty of outdoor adventure.

Our Adventures

Campers stay active, get outside, and experience something different throughout the week, including:

Bike • Kayak • Swim • Explore • Create • Play • Learn

From adventures on two wheels and the water to games, crafts, challenges, and discovering new parts of Miami, there’s always something to look forward to at Bobby’s Miami Adventure Youth Camp.

Learning Through Adventure

Some of the best learning happens when kids are outside, exploring and experiencing the world around them. At Bobby’s Miami Adventure Youth Camp, campers gain the skills, confidence, and independence to explore Miami while developing a deeper appreciation for the city they call home.

On two wheels, campers learn much more than how to get from one destination to another. They’ll practice planning bike routes, preparing their bike and day bag, choosing proper nutrition and hydration, riding safely as a group, and handling basic bike issues along the way. Their rides become opportunities to discover Miami firsthand, with stops at destinations such as Bayfront Park, Bayside Marketplace, South Beach, Key Biscayne, Brickell, Coconut Grove, the Miami River, and the beautiful Biscayne Bay waterfront.

The adventure continues on the water. The protected waters of Biscayne Bay provide a great environment for campers to develop their kayaking abilities. Throughout the week, they’ll practice paddling and steering techniques, water safety, using kayak equipment, reading marine weather conditions, and becoming more comfortable and confident on the water.

Discovering Miami

Every adventure also has a story. Campers will learn about South Florida’s native peoples, Miami’s founding and growth, the Miami River, Art Deco architecture, the Everglades ecosystem, Biscayne Bay’s marine life, and the Cuban and Latin American influences that have helped shape the city. Along the way, they’ll discover how Miami became known as the Magic City and gain a greater understanding of the people, cultures, history, and environment that make South Florida so unique.

The goal is simple: get kids outside, teach them useful skills, encourage their curiosity, and give them the confidence to explore their city in ways they may never have experienced before.

If severe weather or extreme heat makes outdoor activities unsafe, the adventure continues indoors with visits to Miami museums or other fun and educational indoor attractions.
